I am not a sunglass snob :ninja: but when on the water or driving I need decent sunglasses as I am sensitive to sun glare.

I don't like to spend a fortune on them (already lost a pair on my friends

boat) but I like polarized glass lenses.

I currently wear THESE glass lens polarized Ray-Bans. $100 usd. Not the quality of Maui Jim's or Revo's but they do the job. ;-)

How about you. Cheap, moderate or expensive?

++++++++++++

Cheap Sunglasses - ZZ Top

When you get up in the morning and the light is hurt your head

The first thing you do when you get up out of bed

Is hit that streets a-runnin' and try to beat the masses

And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Spied a little thing and I followed her all night

In a funky fine levis and her sweater's kind of tight

She had a west coast strut that was as sweet as molases

But what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

(solo)

Now go out and get yourself some big black frames

With the glass so dark thay won't even know your name

And the choice is up to you cause they come in two classes:

Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

I used to have the same philosophy until I saw the difference a pair of polarized sunglasses made on the water (I was a boater for 25 years).....they reduce the glare 100%.....take them on the road and they do the same.

Add to that the fact that the screen out harmful UV rays that my lead to eye problems.

Since then I could never go back to the drug store sunglasses. :)

My eyes are worth it And I am pretty frugal. :D

There's drugstores - then there's Boots (chemist) over here. I buy their £25 range. I have a problem with the sun's rays too so need something decent.

I'm having to wear my prescription sunglasses all the time, at present. I'm having new lenses fitted to my normal frame - just very minor changes but the old lenses were a bit scratched. I had my sunglasses with me, so I left the normal ones as I had a spare pare at home. Could I find the old ones! Felt very daft watering all the hanging baskets and pots these last 2 nights in the dark while wearing the sunglasses.Am trying to mow the lawn at present and it's very cloudy grass really looks funny. Hope the new lenses are fitted very soon.
