Hey everyone :)

Just would like to let you all know of my new site, which at the moment is only forums. I am building content up and will be publishing it as a full website in due course.

It's dedicated to overcoming, or living through, mental, terminal and other illnesses. Whether you are living through one yourself, someone close to you is, or you have recovered and wish to help others out, please do visit it at:

Many thanks,

Matt

Can I make a suggestion?

In your physical illnesses section, you could have one on heart disease. As a sufferer myself, I can tell you that as well as the physical trauma of a heart attack, there are huge mental and emotional problems that follow in most people. My post-infarction symptoms were coping with the near-death experience, depression, severe agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder as well as coping with the realisation that your body is physically capable of doing less than half it was immediately prior to the attack.

I just seem to get a blank page aswell

Pops i whole heartedly agree with you. As you may remember i had my heart attack 6 months ago at 35 years old, It was a massive shock to me being so young, and as it happened while i am young i have not personnaly found to many people of my age, that have suffered the same thing, to talk about it. As you say the fear of another one happening is very scary.

The site is up and running again.

Matt explains what happened there. You will need to re-register.

Please support him and join - you could learn a lot when it gets going.

Apologies to you all.

I logged in one day and all had been lost. The MySQL database had also been squashed.

As the site hadn't been up for long, I did not back up. FATAL mistake!

The site is back up and running now, and quite a lot more active than I had imagined this early on B)

This will be the last time I do not back up. I will be making regular backups, at least once a week, if not 3 times a week.

The welcome page is now up with a link to an email address on the contact page. The previous contact page had a PHP error in it and thus I was not receiving emails.

I will be working hard this evening and over the weekend to get some content up. I haven't been well, so this has hindered progress slightly :)

Take care,

Matt
