It was years ahead of it's time.Yes. It was a superbly written series from books by Peter Tinniswood about a family called The Brandons. To coin a phrase "They don't write 'em like that any more". I think Robin Bailey is dead now. I'm not sure about that fine comic actress, Liz Smith.Thos. :clapping:
catgate
I'm not sure about that fine comic actress, Liz Smith.I saw her only a couple of weeks ago on the box.My reaction to andsome's comment made me think of this programme, which seemed to me to not get the plaudits it deserved. Having posted my comment I went and Googled for "I didn't know you cared" and ended up buying a video of all seven episodes (although I thought there were more than that). I am very disappointed with that attitude, it is much, much more important than that!”Scousers and geordies are very passionate about their footie.Even I get enthusiastic occasionally about some footie matches
Scarecrow Man
I like football, or as we call it here, Soccer... Don't ask me why. :PI just can't believe how athletic they must be.. The size of the fields they play on is enormous! Mind you I did play when I was younger, but I was a goal tender.. I was never into running a lot :)
