Maybe a useful tip?

I spotted a tip the other day which you clever clogs all may know about but I didn't.

When you are surfing and want to type in another URL, press Ctrl anf F6, the address in the box blues out and you can then type directly.

A time saver or what? ( ....what, probably)

Your right Thos, I did know, but its a useful tip for those that don't, same as dadyassa's tip. another one that I find is working on more and more sites these days is to leave out the www. Just highlight whatever is already in your address window and type where you want to go. BT, tesco, PC world etc with the . co or com at the end. Not a big thing but does save a little time. :)

Good tip dadyassa, however I prefer to use the keyboard tip, esp as I would be about to use the keyboard to type an address. ;)

While surfing, Alt+D (IE and Firefox) will move the cursor to the address bar.

Just an F6 works, no Ctrl necessary. I've been using that for years. :)

In FF works well ...

Usually I click on the address bar and by default everything is selected...

But the keyboard way is much better now ...
