Does anyone play a musical instrument

From the age of seven to the age of twelve I was taught piano at The Birmingham School of Music, at the Midlands Institute. I had an excellent teacher, but did not make the progress that I should have done. I have always much preferred to listen to any form of music played properly, rather than make a pathetic attempt myself. It's just the way I am. I still love to listen to Classical, opera, jazz both modern and traditional, big band swing, GOOD instrumental soloists, etc. I also appreciate some of the better singers from a few years ago, Sinatra, Bassey, Nat King Cole, The Carpenters etc. In fact anything performed well, with a tune to it. I just cannot stand noisy groups, with kids loudly strumming guitars, playing just a couple of chords, and shouting and screaming.

I used to play teh flute in my early ages.. Loved it ! ...

But I grown up and now all I can remember is:

"Fa Sol fa sol la si si do si do sol si la sol la si si la sol" ... Had to learn it and never left my mind .. I forgot who wrote it...

I'm am absolute mess with musical instruments otherwise...
