-pops-
I ran an ewido scan just after I posted the above. It found two items which it saw fit to object to. It gave its "not to worry message" and I gave it permssion to delete them.
Jayno
how sweet, does it bring you your slippers as well?you could call it Efido;-))ps: I have to admit, I really do like Firefox
rong
I am not to worried about mine as I don't know how FF could let these things through without me havering aloud it to in the settings.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I am curious what kind of Firefox-related "things" Ewido finds on your systems. I use only Firefox; I run a daily scan with Ewido, but it has never found anything.

scuzzman
Tracking cookies are nothing to worry about, and those third-party cookies can be disabled by going to Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Cookies. Tick the boxes that say: "Allow sites to set cookies" and "For the originating site only". This will disable all those cookies you get from iframes such as the doubleclick.net cookies. Jayno
Weird this. I ran Ewido again just now and found 637 unwelcome cookies (all but two associated with Firefox). That's in less than two days since I last cleared it, and in case you are wondering, no, I haven't been surfing naughty sites.I had also set the cookie controls in line with Scuzzman's advice. Anyone know how we can get Firefox to control this better?Jayno
rong
Are you sure the problem is with FF and not with maybe your firewall or some other part of your security? This is only a thought I am not an expert and my security runs on default.
-pops-
I was thinking on the same lines as rong.It seems, Jayno, that only you are getting these severe problems with FF which strongly suggests something on your setup that is amiss.
