The thought of what your fingers might get into when putting out bedding plants, living next door to five of the wretched animals is appalling. I have had the unpleasant experience of putting out bedding plants and getting their revolting crap, which has been buried, on my fingers. Cats would be OK as far as I'm concerned, if it was possible for them to be confined to their owners back gardens. they also dig up newly planted plants, and hide in the shrubbery to attack the birds which we try to attract to our garden. In short, they are a bloody nuisance. In spite of what I have said, I would never deliberately hurt any animal, and looking at the examples above, it is cruelty of the highest order to allow a domesticated animal to get so over weight. The worst that visiting cats can expect from me is a thorough soaking with the hose pipe, which is always to hand during the summer months. A water deterrent is perfectly acceptable.I cannot understand your animosity to them though. They only do as we all do and bury it as well. Dogs excrete all over the footpaths and it is only a bit of manure for your garden. I also feed the birds and love them. It is natural for a cat to catch the odd bird and nature compensates for this. The bird population far exceeds the cat population. I am also a keen gardener and when I had a dog it made far more of a mess in the garden than ever my cats have done. :flowers:Artist.
