SHOULD appear as a separate entry

and doesnt; why not

"I've been asked this a few times now, so maybe it is time to post a topic about it!

"How do I post a new topic/reply to a topic?"

That's easy. There are actually three ways to reply. Quick Reply, New Reply, and Quote.

Quick Reply - Open the topic you wish to reply to. Scroll down the the bottom of the thread (all the posts), and click "Quick Reply". This will open the "Fast Reply" dialog box. You can type your message, or "Show Smilies Pop Up Window" for smilies and emoticons. You can also enable e-mail notification of replies which will send an e-mail to the registered e-mail for the user with a notice of a new reply. Try it!

New Reply - Right beside the "Quick Reply", this feature gives you a few more options, as well as some bbcode options. I suggest using this method until you are comfortable with smilies and bbcode. For example"

no, aint happening , still a part of the one psot and should not be

should be completely separate entry

I hae just clicked "new reply" ; but it still just goes in the original posting; anyone tell me what I am doing not right please?

why wont it post as a reply to my thread and not just as a constant addition?

this is a normal reply ( but no mail notificaiton)

Possibly no mail notification, the board may have been seeing you as still logged in at the time of pushkin's follow up post.

I note 3 mins diff between your post and pushkin's following post, you may have still been on board as it was being posted ?

It would be far easier to just keep visiting the forum EVERY day to see whats new etc

I have found this to be the best way as it isn't just with WF as I have also had the e-mail thread notification problem with other forums as well.

It seems to be quite a common problem with forums well that's my experience anyway.
