Our own pub at last

Let's make sure we have a supply of proper crisps (with the salt in blue bags) and packets of crispy pork scratchings.

By the way - do we expect the landlord to decorate the pub for Christmas - if so - he is well behind one of our local pubs which has got its tree decorated already.

For the benefit of the PC brigade - for "Christmas" please substitute "Winterval" or "Festive Season"

Definitely NOT. I call my computer Eric. There is something slightly comic about the name. I suppose Fred or Horace would also do. :D

I had an uncle Fred. He was Capt. F.W. Smith (a survivor of WWl),

I had an uncle Eric. He was a marine in WWll (and a middle weight boxing champion of the service for a while)

I also had an uncle Horace. He was a beach signaller with the Combined Ops. and was one of the first wave to land on D Day.

Needless to say they are all in the past tense.

I reckon tankus might make a good landlord because of his conversational skills and wide vocabulary. He would be good at pulling arf's.
