I think someone needs to get their colour atlas out and see just how much green there is on it. Then compare with the amount of green there is in the Midlands areas.I used to live in Kent - the "Garden of England" - a name that's still apt. You can't get much more South East than that. I now live in Sussex, bordering on Hampshire and Surrey. There's more green and forests and farmland than just about anywhere else in the England. gordythegouge Posted February 13, 2007 Report Share Posted February 13, 2007 Coming from the Bonny Black Isle ....in the NE of Scotland.....no population explosion...and funnily enough....no snow so far this year.....I kid you not.........and having read all of the thread to date..........I hope you'll excuse the smug expression on my face! heh heh!!! :DPS And when we do get snow...we don't panic.... we don't get the roads gritted 8 times overnight(Good Grief!)... we take sensible precautions and drive when we have to within the road condition limits and just get on with life! Accumulations of 1 to 2 feet of snow with drifts expected to reach 5 feet in areas. Temperatures expected to drop in the single digits overnight.This is a large storm (Florida to New York) and the worst we have had in several years.
