Each time I have to login.When I go somewhere else, even without closing the browser, when I come back I have to login.Yes, 'Remember me?' is checked.No, I don't run CCleaner in between.And no, there is no more windowsforum.org cookie in CCleaner, not on the left, and not on the right side.What could be going on...? andsome Posted March 27, 2007 Report Share Posted March 27, 2007 Just an idea. instead of logging in, create a new account under a different name and password. Then save the cookies again in CC, then visit again and see if the new account has been saved. You could even try closing down and booting up again between visits. I did this once when I had trouble, and the new account was perfect. I appreciate that you will want to retain your present identity, but at least it will give you an idea as to what is wrong if the new account works OK. Each time I have to login.I also noticed this problem a few days ago but...Which forum address are you using?There is an old one: http://forums.windowsforum.org/or there is a new one: http://www.windowsforum.org/Doug and I found that the old one didn't work as it should after the server move the other day....it's now fixed after using the new WF link and ditching the old one. Chris Posted March 27, 2007 Report Share Posted March 27, 2007 There is a slight stupidty with our new hosts in that they don't allow the full URL path to be shown in the address bar when we use a sub-domain So if we were to use http://forums.windowsforum.org that's all you would see. There are other ways to get the full URL but it's not the point!So we now have to have the forum from http://www.windowsforum.org/forums/We have a redirect in place that will sort the links out so you won't get a 404!So update your books marks to: http://www.windowsforum.org/forums/index.php? and then login.If that does not work then click HERE then log back in. :lol: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When you are logged in, select the page you want to open at (mine happens to be the main index) and right-click anywhere in the centre. From the short menu, choose create a shortcut and it should save to your desk top. I prefer it because you only have to press the shortcut just once. Probably it stems from being at work and needing to act quickly. My double-click never seemed fast enough! :D However, back to the icon issue. I can't personally suggest anything, Thos. When using the 'QuickLaunch' the icon is smaller, , so I don't notice the difference. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.p.s. I just checked mine and it is the coloured hash-sign.
