A friend who visits her daughter regularly in California, even refuses seat 13 on the aircraft. We have tried pointing out to her that someone occupies seat 13 every time she flies, and that if that seat blew up so would the rest of the plane. She gets into a dreadful state if she sees that two pieces of cutlery at the table are even ever so slightly crossed.
