catgate
HM Revenue and Customs has confirmed that a further six data discs have gone missing in transit between its offices in Preston and London. The discs, which were reported missing on 30 October, contained recorded conversations between a member of staff and a customer making a complaintIt must have been a hell of a conversation to fill six discs. Do HMRC run on an 0870 number???
CurlyWhirly
The HMRC says evidence suggests the discs are still on their premises. They would say that
andsome
Despite loosing all these C.D's, I bet none of them will loose their grossly inflated pensions.

andsome
The article by Mattew Parris is well worth a read.Don't just glance at the cartoon - click on the link and read it - good post tankus. Thanks for pointing out the link. It was a brilliant and true peice of work. This bit is particularly telling. First, I am absolutely sure that Mr Brown hasn't got it, never had it, and won't get it. For those of us who always believed and wrote this, the prospect of writing him off is easier to stomach than for those who thought they detected buried treasure and are still half-waiting for it to be uncovered. We have still to see any support on here for this bunch of comedians. :D

Tankus
heh ... murkier and murkier ...(from Curlys post yesterday !) Mr Watt said he had resigned "with great sadness" Labour general secretary Peter Watt has resigned following the revelation that a property developer made donations to the party via three associatesBBCAccording to the Electoral Commission, Mr Ruddick has donated £196,850; Mrs Kidd has donated £185,000 since 2003; and Mr McCarthy £202,125 since 2004.There are tax aviodance issues in the donation's ....... if he gave the money for them to donate its liable for capital gains tax and.................... breaking on GuidoDurham Green Developments Limited had a planning application for a business park development alongside the A1 motorway blocked by the Department of Transport.Raymond Ruddick and Janet Kidd are directors of the company. Details of their directorships here [PDF]. See his and her donations listed on the Electoral Commission website. They donated some £400,000 to the Labour party, secretly on behalf of David Abrahams, the owner of Durham Green Developments Limited. In October last year the objection to the massive development was dropped by the Department of Transport. ...Small wonder why Abrahams wanted a low profile . , doesnt like publicity ? ..my arse Watt resigns to head off the baying hounds ? draw the scent off the real story ?heh ...might prove a bit more stinkier than the CD's or the rock in a hard place. Its now £600K and counting

Every time they put their head over the parapet you declare war and come out guns blazing. They have taken a leaf from the taliban training manual and gone underground to use guerrilla tactics.
