Tankus
arf .....by the hour However, the party is now facing new allegations that it may have received an illicit payment.George Crawford, a Newcastle-based lawyer, went to the police amid claims that his name may have been used to illicitly donate money to the party. He is demanding an investigation after a man of the same name was registered as giving Labour £36,000 in 2004. Mr Crawford believes he may have been used as a secret conduit by Mr Abrahams to donate money to Labour.TelegraphThe lawyer suspects that the money was given in his name and has now reported the matter to the police as suspected identity theft by someone trying to conceal their donations. Northumbria Police said they would be forwarding the complaint to Scotland Yardand The Revenue and Customs chief who resigned two weeks ago after admitting his department had lost the personal details of 25 million people returned to work in a high-paying job at the heart of Government.Paul Gray quit as chairman of HMRC on November 20, after a junior official lost two computer discs carrying the data in the mail. Tankus
I see that the government has recently bought some Dutch prison barges !..........., expecting a sudden influx of convicted fraudsters I wonder ........?the way Gordo could be losing ministers and labour officials over committing unlawful acts (his words) even the cleaners could be in with a shout for a position in the cabinet (provided they speak english ) Car crash politics ....!My bet ...the next scandal is a good old fashioned sex one the badgers should live in fear again .....And all those LOANs (not payments or gifts for honors to get around the legality of the payments to the Blair party) are now becoming due ...Labour is £20 m in debit and climbing ..... Just what happens if the banks (suffering sub prime hangovers) foreclose the loans ? demanding payment and no extensions due to credit risk and no perceivable income ! Can the party declare itself bankrupt and dissolve ? What then Is el Gordo the pension thief the LAST labour el presidento ?
Tankus
Can wendy survive...?This much we know: the Scottish Labour leader, Wendy Alexander, has broken the law. Not any old law, either, but Labour's own anti-sleaze statute, the Parties Elections and Referendums Act, 2000. She faces the possibility of an unlimited fine or one year in prison for illegally accepting a donation of £950 to her leadership campaign from the tax exile property developer, Paul Green.Labour insiders are saying that she has only remained in post to save Gordon Brown from embarrassment at Prime Ministers Question Time this weekIf Alexander had gone, Harriet Harman's position would have become untenable, since she also accepted, unknowingly, an illegal donation. It may untenable anyway, because the row over Alexander will not go away.choosing knives for gordos back

andsome
It's now getting VERY difficult to keep up with events. My question is, "Why haven't Harping Harman and Wendy Alexander been arrested and charged"? Is the law supposed to be only for the minions? A pox on the lot of them. Tankus
O.K. then you cowards. I'll say it, IT STINKS. Who is lining their pockets here?Shares in Northern Rock fell today after it emerged that Virgin's bankers have barely begun discussing the detail of its proposals, despite the stricken lender unveiling Sir Richard Branson's group as its preferred bidder - with the Government's blessing - last week .................. Telegraph.Deutsche Bank is already thought to have raised "serious issues" over Virgin's plans. A Deutsche Bank spokesman would only say: "We are continuing to talk to Virgin and the Tripartite authorities."and yetAn outraged City co-conspirator has tipped off Guido that this morning Labour's London Business group held an £80 a ticket breakfast fund-raiser with Alistair Darling.Guido is stunned that in the current circumstances the Chancellor of the Exchequer attended a Breakfast fund-raiser hosted by Deutsche Bank at their City offices on Great Winchester Street..............GuidoOh Darling ...!That little (£30bn and counting) timebomb is still ticking

AlanHo
For many years I voted conservative - initially when young to spite my dad who said the family must vote labour because we were working class - not bloody toffs.I voted labour when this government first were elected because I was totally disillusioned with the conservative government of the day and thought new labour should be given a chance. They seemed to start off well - especially giving the bank of England responsibility for interest rates - but gradually it all went pear shaped.Unfortunately, by the time the next election came around, the conservatives were in total disarray and I had no idea who to vote for. Hence, like many others, I didn't vote. Shameful I know but that is what happened.A few years later and I am still undecided - both parties are in a mess. If the Lib Dems merged with the BNP and developed more stringent immigration, employment, law & order and education policies plus some of the better left wing medicare and fiscal policies, my dilemma would be solved. But that is not going to happen. Unfortunately all the parties seem to have been infiltrated by the Monster Raving Loony lot and we are the resutling victims.Perhaps we should set up our own party - we could hardly do worse. When we get elected I would propose :-Prime Minister, First Lord of the Treasury and Minister for the Civil Service - PopsChancellor of the Exchequer - DougSecretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs - Deuces WildSecretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor - AndsomeSecretary of State for the Home Department - IreneSecretary of State for Defence; and, Secretary of State for Scotland - GandalphSecretary of State for Health - PushkinSecretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs - CatgateSecretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform - ChrisSecretary of State for Work and Pensions; and Secretary of State for Wales - TankusSecretary of State for Transport & Technology - BorisSecretary of State for Communities and Local Government - ScarthyParliamentary Secretary to the Treasury and Chief WhipSecretary of State for Children, Schools and Families - RongSecretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport - ArtistLeader of the House of Lords (and Lord President of the Council) - Sir T FireballSecretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills - PanarchyLord Chief Whip and Captain of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms - AlanHo
