catgate
That reminds me of one of Ken Dodd's stories. It concerned Percy Shaw, the Halifax chap who invented "cat's eyes" road reflectors. Percy Shaw said that it was the sight of a cat coming towards him in the headlights of his car one night, whilst on his way home from a hostelry, that gave him the idea. Ken Dodd said that if the cat had been going the other way Percy would have been forced to invent a pencil sharpener.
