Gandalph
Unbelievable! who in their right minds would leave a laptop in a car overnight, especially one which contained information of that type, :
deuces wild
We have the same problem in the US. It looks like we have idiots worldwide.Because of this I signed up for a identity fraud protection program for my wife and I for $198/year.=============================1. Fraud Alerts on your credit reports requesting you verify all new credit issuances (new loans, credit cards, cell phones, etc.)2. Credit Reports documenting your alerts and the phone numbers where you can be contacted to verify your identity/3. Reduced Junk Mail and Pre-Approved Credit Card Offers==================================Based on the fact that someone applied for a credit card in my name in the past year I thought this to be a wise investment.Identity theft is becoming a bigger problem each year. catgate
May be this is why the loonies in charge are intent on getting everything on to one big data base. They can then make a backup copy of it and it would not matter then if all these laptops etc get stolen because they have the information stored nearly safely elsewhere. AlanHo
There are distinct benefits with sensitive data being stored on computers and portable discs rather than old-fashioned paper. When they get lost the records are kept in one place and do not blow about on the wind.Check this out
-pops-
Seems odd that in a country of quite a few million people that discarded papers should be found twice on separate occasions by the same person, doesn't it?
