-pops-
Don't suppose anyone's missed me but, I'm back after my week in London attending Court. Another session on Monday and then I write my expenses invoice - which is going to be an awful lot of money. It was really gruelling and I've had several two hour sessions in the witness stand - something that someone of my age could well do without. At least I could sit down, though. I dropped in a few times on a borrowed laptop that another witness had brought but it wasn't fair to make any lengthy posts or anything like that.Oh well! Back to normal for a few days.

Gandalph
Welcome home pops, nice to hear from you again. I hope you haven't a lot more to do at the Court.
-pops-
DW -> armpits. When I was employed I was an authority on deodorants and antiperspirants. I can't offer any information about the case as it is, and will remain, confidential. It was an international arbitration for damages between an extremely large company (who I was witness for) and a not so large one who were making quite astronomical claims. andsome
Thank goodness it's something I've never had to do. I did have a narrow escape from Jury service. I was too old by three months, and was excused when I appealed. :D
-pops-
You'd do it if you saw my fees, andsome. I've been working on this case, on and off, since 2006. Then five days in a four star hotel being paid a substantial hourly rate for ALL of that time, plus expenses, will result in a significant addition to my current account. No stay in luxury hotels for that little job. :D

deuces wild
Thank goodness it's something I've never had to do. I did have a narrow escape from Jury service. I was too old by three months, and was excused when I appealed. :DI had to serve twice on jury duty, including on an accomplice to murder case on the second call for duty. Spent 2 nights in a hotel eating meals with the jury as we were sequestered. Not fun. We eventually found him guilty (he supplied the gun and drove the car to meet up with the person killed. Although he did not pull the trigger the death would not have happened without his actions) .I was never called the first time around and spent days in the "potential jury room" playing cards, watching tv and reading books.........a 40 hour week of it without being called.I was asked to serve a 3rd time and basically told them to shove it as I had served twice already. They let me go.My medical condition will hopefully get me off from any future requests.
