But note all these are programs with defined parameters and presumably production staff and a director with a hand firmly on the reigns. Unfortunately when allowed to do his own thing the monumental flaws in his character are revealed and the really sad thing is that some divot in the upper echelons of the Beeb has mistaken this garbage for "Comic genius " that's worthy of spending egregious amounts of our license money on. What bugs me is that an organization that can't operate within a budget, seems to hold much of its clientèle in contempt and appears intent on expanding into more and more dubious digital channels in its empire building, then has the unmitigated gall to suggest it needs more money. They have almost aspired to mediocrity in one sphere and have, from there, launched themselves into all the fields where they are able to prove their abysmalism. Their unsuitability is exceeded only by their own egos. Cilla Black, Joe Brown, Bruce Fivescythe, Michael Barrymore, Brian Conley, Les Dennis, Cheryl Baker, Lionel Blair, Des O'Connor, Dale Winton, that Ausi didgerydoo and wobbleboardist and a host of tired "panalists".
