I imagine the whole cycle of problems, crashes, patches & updates will start again when W7 is officially launched to the public as the standard operating system. I think the figures go a long way to silence criticism of The lounge postings. I appreciate that the technical side is meant to be the prime purpose of the forum, but it is the social side that keeps it running. That way, when people come to ask a question, they become interested enough to stay after they've found the answer to their question and would rather come here in the future for more answers and that way, will recommend the forum to their friends. I was led to another forum this morning via a link in another thread and I was quite shocked at the amount of obscenity and blaspheming there was.I'm as broad minded as anyone but there is a time and place for everything - the technical pages of any forum is not it. What type of people you have on the forum and how the rules of the forum are laid out and kept to. This forum has friendly users, admins and mods. Another thing is the layout of the forum. The layout of a forum can often create an idea that the forum would allow that. Stuff like graffiti-styled banners/images, dark background colours and all of that stuff will make it seem like the forum is ran by a bunch of teenagers that think they can hack - a good, clean and simple looking forum will give you the message that it's just an ordinary forum that is ran by mature or at least semi-mature people who don't want their forum to contain the bunch of rubbish those others do. Also, this forum won't allow support for getting past passworded user accounts and such as this could be illegal whilst the others do.
