Dencandy
If you're feeling gloomy because of the terrible cold weather (yes, even here in Asia we are having the coldest winter for decades) have a read through The Times' 10 Weirdest Legal Cases of 2009. Read about the man who sued a swimming trunks manufacturer because they let it all hang out. The man who tested a million volt taser gun on himself. The women fined for screamin in exstasy during sex (in Newcastle of all places!). The nuns who were fined for driving at 112 mph, and more. It's all at this link: WEIRD CASES. I'm sure that's true, but what surprised me was to know that it's illegal to make too much noise whilst having sex in Newcastle. I mean if the screams of sexual pleasure only lasted a few minutes that's OK, but I suppose if it went on for hours and hours... The mind boggles. -pops-
It won't be long before the legal system disappears completely - to be replaced by pleas of mental illness and insanity to avoid retribution.Look at recent examples: computer hackers pleading mental illness after breaking into US government machines, drug smugglers (father of three) pleading mental illness to try to avoid execution in China. The latest one is hypocrite, adulterer, swindler and arch homophobe now receiving urgent treatment for her supposed mental problems. OK, she may have mental problems now but it is quite likely these result from her being found out.A pox on them all
AlanHo
A pox on them all They would then use the excuse of having the pox to justify further illegal or immoral adventures.................
