MANEMAN
Alan, please check/read your PM's (Personal Messages)I am rather hoping that you have not yet left for Cornwall, or that you are internet "Mobile", and you will be able to contact me.Apologies for the very last minute reply, I belong to two choirs in Cornwall, and the computer has to take a back seat at times due to rehearsals and performances. This has been hectic in the past month, with our latest being a concert in Truro Cathedral. (10.7.2010)I have posted to you my telephone number and address, hopefully you will be able in some way to pick up on this via the forum, or that someone within the forum will be able to "connect" us.John. andsome
My brother in law belongs to The Birmingham Icknield male voice Choir, the oldest choir in Birmingham. We attend quite a few of their concerts in the Adrian Bolt Hall in Birmingham. Every year they also take part in a massed choir event in Symphony Hall Birmingham on St Georges day. They have toured the US and Australia too. They get about quite a bit. They also sang as part of a massed choir at Millenium stadium.:)
MANEMAN
Thanks for that info andsome. It is always good to have knowledge of peripheral contacts within the choral world to set up meetings and concerts for the future. Thank you.I have been singing, and singing in choirs since God was a boy. ( I will in this post, for very obvious reasons, make no reference to "God Mode" - Hey! - Gotcha again ! )Choirs, Brass Bands, Choral groups, etc; are very strong within Cornwall. Whilst many think that perhaps Wales is the leader in these activities, you only have to look at the number of concerts going on in Cornwall to know that we are a county brimming with music, - and that the "Wales" thing is a bit of a myth. :) It is today. - (Thursday) - absolutely p****** down with rain, so can only hope that AlanHo has a pleasurable journey, and that the monsoon season means that we will have more time together, rather than him topping up his tan on our beaches.John.
