My wife has developed a slight impediment in her speech. Every now and then she stops to breathe

Easy enough remedy.... :paperbag1:

Er indoors amuses me when she is with her friends. They don't talk TO each other, they talk AT each other. Several different subjects at the same time.:)

You lot need to look back at the threads on this forum, if you think that women rattle on!

When we were children my father used to tell us about this wonderful thing like a flap valve that we had in our throats. He said that its purpose was to separate the oats from the milk in our porridge, and send the oats down one way and the milk down the other.

As I have grown older I have realised he must have got mixed up with the flap valve thing that women have in their ears for separating out and filtering these multi person dialogues that they seem to be able to accomodate. What they have in their brains to open and close each little filing system is, to me, quite beyond comprehension.

Women have a filing system?
