doug Posted September 21, 2003 Report Share Posted September 21, 2003 I did it and I carried the Banner with Pride from start to finish.Gun time of 2 hours 40 mins 40 secs.Personal time 2 hours 28 mins 38 secs.Bloody crowded. That Tank that Carol Malier intervied, I was just in the background, was a bloody nuisance. Will make a separate posting or even an extra page on my web for fuller information. Glad you saw me. Felt as though I was getting lots of kisses at the start.One disappointment, I had set the video for the broadcast. My wife said she saw me at the start and the finish where i had a big grin on my face. But I had set the video for standard not extended time so she could only point me out at the start. No. 2 Daughter and G'daughter met me at the finish while waiting for No.1 daughter and hubby to arrive and she said she had set her recorder as well.Just rang her and she is spitting nails her partner had to go to work this morning and he had switched their recorder off. :( Hope somebody here saw me at the finish to prove I got there.PS had at lot of people asking what the sign was about.Gotta go now and take over from wife.
