I hope Old Englebert doesn't win because Britain will have to play host next year and we can't really afford to being in a recession and all that. Hello my Little Honeysuckle, well I changed over and watched Top Gear and I've just switched off till the film starts on Channel 4. I don't think we've got much chance of winning anyway. I think the Eurovision Song Contest is a little less painful now than it used to be when Terry Wogan did it, but never the less as you say it is still painful. I fail to see how the BBC could possibly spend the money on anything worse as IMHO such a thing should be impossible according to the laws of physics and/or humanity. A waste of money, yes, but what would it look like if we refused to take part. As artist mentioned in her post BBC 4 for the Documentaries. The only reason I'm not watching the Leveson is because nearly every answer that is given to a question looks like a diplomatic lie to cover up. It's too political. Yes, Neighbouring Countries voting for each other has been noticeable for years now that's why I was always predicting that we would never get anywhere in that contest.As for the Olympics, it is going to generate Millions of pounds for britain according to the experts. People travelling here from all over the World in need of accommodation, Hotels, Bed and Breakfast, a couple of weeks digs at Fag-end Lill's in Croydon. Extra revenue from the London Underground with the extra trains that Boris is putting on to ferry people from all over London from their accommodation to the Stadium.The stadium has cost Millions to build, It will be interesting to see if we meet break-even point during the festivities.
