Have now run Malwarebytes, Spybot, & AVG is constantly running, no problems found.

Have checked with BT speed checker & am getting my normal rate of about 3.5 m bytes.

Also now think that the problem occurs also on F/Fox

Also had problem of getting into this site, get message at top of screen "Not Responding"

Any ideas, getting annoyed about this, do not know what to do next!

It could be a Bandwidth problem. It really depends on where you live. If you are in a large Town or City then the more people that have Broadband then the more demand there is for it. This would slow down the speed of your connection.

I have just had a similar problem. I could open a website but could not navigate it. I eventually realized that I was having NO trouble on bank or building society websites, only the others. I tried uninstalling Trusteer Rapport, and the problem was solved. They are now looking into it. If you have this banking software installed try uninstalling it.

Interesting as I have also got "Trusteer Rapport" installed.

The sites that I found to be mainly affected have been Al Jazeera news (BBC & Daily Telegraph OK)! plus Wanderlust Travel & this site.

Don't want to uninstall TR, but could it be an update of this that has caused the problem. From the TR console can't see a track of updates.

Please advise if you hear anything re your query to them & thanks for your interest

If you are having problems with certain websites you can establish if the problem is actually related to Rapport, by stopping Rapport and checking if the problem is then resolved.

You can stop and start Rapport by opening -

Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop/Start Rapport

Please note that this is not a permanent solution, and while Rapport is deactivated you are not protected.

I have received the following e mail from Trusteer this morning. Here is a possible answer for you. I always play safe on bank sites in any case by not typing in pass words and account numbers etc. I always copy and paste from a memory stick, to avoid key logging problems.

Hello Mr. Jones,

The issue you have encountered is known to us and we suspect it was resolved in the latest version of Rapport.

If you wish to download Rapport again, you can do so from the following link: http://www.trusteer.com/support/rapport-installation-links

For now, the logs won't be necessary.

If the issue reoccurs, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Well that's it then, can't trust the Banks these days.

My version of Rapport is Emerald 1205.12, which on checking is the latest version & I am not getting any problems so far.

Did notice this morning when I turned on that I got message " Start at Home Page or go to last page visited" hope this does not keep coming up!

If it does is there any way to clear it?
