andsome Posted August 24, 2016 Report Share Posted August 24, 2016 We have all seen the footage of Corbyn sitting on a train floor claiming that this is what he was forced to do because it was ram packed full and there were no seats. Funny that he should have just happened to have a camera crew with him. He had not thought about the fact that there may be CCTV on the train that filmed him walking past empty seats. It later came to light that he was just disgruntled because there were not two adjoing setas for him to sit by his wife. No mention in his political point scoring video of the fact that she was with him. When confronted with the Virgin footage on newsnight, one of his staff who was also with him said that all the seats were full, and when shown the footage claimed that the seats must have been occupied by extremely small people. How pathetic, and this is the carachter who wants to be prime misister one day. Does he always have a camera crew with him when he goes on a train journey with his wife? I and my family have been left sitting on suitycases many a time in corridors travelling on British Rail in the 60's and 70's. There were not enough coaches to echo the volume of passengers for that journey. It is a difficult position that the Rail Companies are under to provide enough coaches to seat every one that is going to travel at a certain time. In the summer months do they add two or three extra coaches to a train to provide extra seating? Bareing in mind extra coaches equals extra weight, equals extra energy and fuel the Loco has to use to pull the weight of the train. It is a very difficult position they are in . Problem is that as far as JC is concerned the overcrowded grungy coaches of the old and unlamented British Rail is "the good old days" and he can't wait to get back to them. I share your memories of being wedged into overcrowded trains in the 70s and have absolutely no desire to do it again. He still sees nationalisation and state control as the answer to everything, conveniently ignoring the fact that nationalisation never fixed anything first time round and there's no indication things would be any different if he gets to try it again and if he shows the degree of ineptitude with major industry that he's done making his propaganda flic. Put over a point or not,this was a typical publicity stunt,typical of the useless Pratt that he is. How on earth can anyone consider him as prime minister material? I'm not convinced this is a good decision as I think the Labour party in a state of total paralytic inebriation is probably significantly less incompetent than them sober. Largely on the grounds that statements like " I effin love you" , " Geradavit "and "You lookin at my bird" will be infinitely more sensible and less offensive than anything they normally come out with. Also when drunk they do have some semi valid excuse for pissing on each other, something they do with monotonous regularity while sober. It will lead to the same disaster that Foots leadership led to . I am sure that the vast majority of labour voters want a slightly left of centre party, while vast tory voters want a slightly right of centre party. We have no room or desire for extremism in the country. We are well rid of Cameron, I reckon the present leader is doing a far better job to date. To only decision so far that I would question is her decision to employ that prat Boris in his present job, he would be better employed as house of commons toilet cleaner. They become politicians at many levels and start acting out their fantasies. Equally sadly there are millions of people in the world who are incapable of seeing this.....and so they allow them to be politicians.
