Gandalph
I'm on BT aand have been for years now. About 17 years if memory serves. Only had a couple of issues with them in all that time, Speed. They sorted it out pretty quick though, only took them about 24 hours one one occasion. The other one was sorted in a matter of about two hours.
andsome
Have been with Virgin Media since cable was first put in our road by NTL. I found that I did not need the 150Mb broadband thar is on offer and have downgraded to 50Mb.. It performs really well and we never get less than we pay for. which is more than can be said for non cable broadband. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5732831661
Belatucadrus
Thanks for the responses, I'm currently on BT which has been OK, but the prices go up, incentives to stay loyal are minimal, particularly when compared to what they'll offer a new client. I checked out Virgin, but we're too far out in the sticks to qualify at the moment. My Brothers on Sky and he says they're very good, but I'd have to upgrade to fibre and I don't think I need it, still something to mull over. Anybody else willing to offer feedback ? will be appreciated.

catgate
You could have a look at Plus Net. We switched to it about four years ago and have been very pleased with the result. We have Telephone and Internet with them and it costs us a very reasonable sum. We received t the following this morning :- We'll soon be taking a payment of £38.48 for your service. This will leave your account on or after 26/10/2016. We use both services without considering the bill (we do no overseas 'phone calls)
catgate
Maybe I should have added that we are out in the flat area !6 miles S.E. of York. This means we will get broadband some time before the end of time.

andsome
At present I pay £28 per month for 50Mb broadband. Virgins medium television pack, all phone calls 24/7, and caller I.D.
Belatucadrus
Sky are doing 25Mb fibre free for a year plus rental. Think I'll give them a go as my brother reckons they're good. Virgin looks interesting, but as I've found out we're too far off the beaten track for them to bother.
