I remember first seeing them at the Alhambra, in my home town of Bradford, very shortly after the war. They used to have a "hand maiden" with them but she just disappeared as the years went by. I can remember Dad telling me it was an Egyptian Sand dance. I thought for a long time that all they Egyptians did it. They might, but I never found out. I do however have an auntie Norma who is. PS Auntie Betty never to my knowledge appeared on stage with either Wilson or Keppel or even both simultaneously.
