Greetings people.

First attempt at installing Redhat.9

1. It did'nt like my wireless optical mouse, so I opted to install with the option ( no mouse) all ok.

2. Partitioning. I opted for automatic freespce allocation.

Error partitioning.

Could not allocate requested partition.

Partition failed: Could not allocate partitions as primary partions.

I have 44GB of free space.

Over to you guys and girls for help please.

Have just installed Mandrake 10.

It would not boot of CD1 so I put CD2 in, then I got the Install screen and on pressing enter it said this dsik was not bootable so I put disk 1 back in and away it went. No problems till CD 3 with 10 seconds to go to finish the install it ejected the CD and asked me for CD 4.

SO I went back to the download site on my other computer to make sure I had not missed any download but their were only 3 to download, so I clicked cancel and it finished the installation and it works perfectly.

Powerless, why would it be asking for CD4?.
