Chris
Watching News24, they talked about Computer Recycling and how it is becoming a problem.Printer Cartridges being the main concern!Read about it hereSold the old computer and have the ink topped up when they run low. So i'm doing my bit?
andsome
I gave my last old computer away. I do throw empty printer cartridges in the bin. They are Epson, does anyone want them, and if so is it worth there while taking just one occasionally?
nellie2
I don't know whether to answer yes or no... I have a cupboard full of all sorts of bits and peices... most of it obsolete now!!
Hurdy
Every time I upgrade my No.1 PC the bits get filtered down to the others.
Scarecrow Man
I still have tape drives, and 4MB 30 pound hard drives... My house is a recycling bin :)
moon
I was going to ask this anyway- I've got two 3Com ISDN modems and broadband is coming in October. Can I use them for anything ?
Boris
Every time I upgrade any PCs all bits not required from the old kit, but worth re-using at all are put aside and eventually (hopefully) filtered down to others. PS Anyone want any 4MB 30 pin SIMMs ?
Big Elf
I keep the bits from old computers but rarely find a use for them myself. I tend to give them away, mainly to PCA members who've posted asking for particular bits.
Pilch
I just keep bit's.... anything old i just give away....
catgate
Who are these people who will accept old bits of computers as "give aways"? By the time I upgrade, the stuff that I have as surplus is either non functioning rubbish or is totally past being used with the software/hardware etc. that is current. Hence my need to upgrade. What do people do with burned out hard drives, howling fans, dead powerpacks etc.?
-pops-
Ho hum :( Is it the new server that's churning these up from the depths of history?
expertec
Ho hum :( Is it the new server that's churning these up from the depths of history?No... I think someone is just reading through the topics on this board and voting on all the polls, which bumps them to the top again.
