No. 1 daughter is a week overdue with her first but my second G'child. Had a message a couple of hours back that hubby was taking her in to hospital because things started to happen at 5 am, today and she was getting extremely uncomfortable. G'ma and I keep wondering what's happening but no news yet.

I'm sure everything will be OK, doug.

No.1 (gynaecologist) son is here and he says one week overdue is nothing at all to concern yourself about.

If she's in hospital, that's the best place to be if there are any difficulties but, the chances are greatly in her favour that things will be as you all would wish.

That's part of the problem Nel. Anne was 2 weeks expecting her and was in labour for 48 hours, not a pleasant. The other part of the problem is that Anne, I and No.1 G'daughter are off on our hols. next week end. Katherine is late for everything and It looks as though she is running true to form. I keep thinking of her on her wedding day in 2002.

I remember you showing me those pictures!! wow!

Doug every labour is different..... you just cannot compare one to the other and we women were built to give birth... not only do we do it once but over and over.... if it was that bad then we would have found a way to make men do it by now!!! :D

She will be fine and so will your grandchild....remember she is female and wants to make as much an impact as is possible. :)

Just received the following missive

All

Went into hospital as 2 on Friday afternoon at around 1600.

After much pain, prodding, gas and air and a wonderful epidural

Katherine was taken in for a caesarian at 0650 this morning...

... and then there were 3.

Russel Phillip was born at 0728 on 24-July-2004 and weighed in at 3.2 kg

(7 lb) and was 54 cm (21.5 in) long.

Mother and son are doing well.

Love

Chris

Grandpa & Grandma are now doing well. Pictures to follow.
