If I get a call I answer it and tell them I will call them back when I get a chance. I nearly got clobbered, a few weeks back, by some bloke in his car careering round a bend with one hand while the other was up at his ear and he was obviously having an argument on his 'phone. I do try, however, to make calls when I am parked or pulled over on the side of the road.Cell phones are perhaps one of the greatest tools invented. They not only vastly improve ones effeciency at work (if one is on the road) but are also a great safety device.They can also save you money, especially if you make a lot of long distance calls. My daughter and her 3 roommates have only their cell phones at college. There is no land line in her apartment. There are many examples.I do agree with you, however, that as a general rule calls should not be made and conversations conducted on the phone while driving.BTW: There have been many deaths caused by folks reaching over to grab a music CD, losing control of the car and killing someone. (The only reason I have a phone at all is for internet access and emergencies :) ).I've never been one to talk on the phone though. Probably because one of my first jobs was as a switchboard operator and I talked on the phone 8 to 10 hours a day.However, if I did have one I would never use it while driving. I have almost been hit several times by people talking on cell phones. I think it is one of the most dangerous things you can do while driving.
