deuces wild Posted July 1, 2005 Report Share Posted July 1, 2005 Independence Day, July 4, 2005. The United States will be 229 years old on Monday, 229 years of freedom from British rule. Coincidentally, Britain has since become our best allie and friend. The weekend holiday starts tonight and culminates on Monday night (July 4th) with fireworks and carnivals in most cities. The weekend will be filled with parties, picnics and generally relaxing for most folks in the States.We will be out boating/swimming tomorrow and at a family picnic on Sunday. Monday will most likely be chilling at the house with a cookout with the family.This is one of the best holidays of the year as we generally have nice weather to enjoy outside activities.I believe some other countries celebrate this weekend for one reason or another.
