catgate
Another thing which shows what a strange place the world is becoming, happened in Nelson a couple of weeks ago. Mr. Stanley Trimble, who lives in a house overlooking the newly built mosque, noticed quite a large piece of the inside of a large white loaf on the pavement. He went and cleared it away (that's the sort of solid citizen he is). The following day he found more, and more the day after, and the day after that. In fact it was so regular that he thought he would have to find out what was going on. He sat and watched and was astounded at what he eventually saw. Just before it was time for early prayers at the mosque, along would come this family of Pakistanis, that he could not remember seeing before. The mother would have in her hand a large white loaf and from it she would tear off pieces of the outer layer and give them to the various members of the family to eat, as they walked along to the mosque. When all the outer layer was gone she just dropped the remainder on the pavement. This so intrigued Stanley that he started to make enquiries as to just who these people were. It eventually transpired that they were a newly arrived family of Crust Asians.
