Should one happen to go past the end of the lane leading up to the Cadet premises, on the day that the council are doing their refuse collection in that area, on might just catch sight of a green wheelie bin. This one is different though. It has been daubed all over with the standard multi hued blotches of camouflage. It just makes you think! This worked it's way down right to corporal level.I was told one day by the Sergent to clean out the chemical room, in the photographic section where I worked. I did what I thought was a damned good job, even remembering to move all the bottles and jars to dust the shelves. His nibs cam in to look after I had finished. He put his hands on his head and pulled at his hair in anguish. I would swear that he had real tears in his eyes. "Brummie" he wailed, "what about the shelves, just look how untidy they are". I told him that I had moved everything and dusted. He replied that the whole lot were untidy because the bottles were higgldy piggledy. It seems after he calmed down that I should have put them back on the shelves, starting with the tallest on the left and the shortest on the right. The mind boggles at the mentality of the man.
