The funny thing is that folks used the term 'Happy Holidays' before without any PC relevance.....it always inferred a reference to the holidays of Christmas and New Years. Folks also greeted friends and coworkers with the phrase "Merry Christmas" with no one taking offense.

How many of you sang Silent Night, Oh Come all Yea Faithful and other Christmas songs while in public school? I sure did and no one had a problem with it.

That was then.............fast forward to now. The PC crowd has managed to highjack the phrase and redefine it in an attempt to take out any connection to the word Christmas (Christ). Christmas trees are now Holiday Trees. Christmas vacation is now Winter Holiday. So PC...........so sickening.

With that has come a loss of the true meaning of Christmas.

Recent studies have shown that less than 3% of folks in the US are offended by the words "Merry Christmas", and this includes atheists, agnostics, Jews and Christians.

Folks are fighting back here in the States, including prominent Jewish groups/celebrities.......fighting to bring back the true meaning of Christmas and the use of the word in greetings.

I say about time. I have had enough of this PC BS as have, apparently, most folks.

We need to take out the commercialism and put back the spiritualism, regardless of your belief.

Many years ago the company I was working for decided to give some Seasonal cheer to the local war veterans hospital located next door.

To this end we decided to form a "choir" and go around the locality singing carols door to door.

Without going into the details of all the Scrooges we came upon, the biggest donation was given to us by the city's Rabbi who gave £20 which, in 1965, was an awful lot of money.

So, Rabbi Posen, the then Rabbi of Nottingham, thank you very much again.
