Thos
As it is New Years Eve and this is, co-incidentally my 1000 post, I thought that I would record a few impressions of NeoPlanet (now Windows) forums for the past year, 2005. Best animation: The young lady falling through space that Gandalph introduced us to Best Christmas song: The turkey claiming, probably in vain, "I will survive" offered by Sapins. Closely followed by Joyness's card of Santa & Reindeer. Best exchange: Catgate's musing about the similarity of his kettle to a neighbour, and also his joke posted about July/August about a chap who led a dissolute life, looked about 90 but only turned out to be 21. These musings was picked up by AlanHo and I laughed 'til the tears ran down my legs. Best last word: No doubt about it, andsome, many times. Best joke: There were many very funny jokes and I liked dadyassa's story Gertrude, Maude and Tilly were sitting on a park bench having a quiet conversation when a flasher approached from across the park. The flasher came up to the ladies, stood right in front of them, and opened his coat. Gertrude immediately had a stroke. Then Maude also had a stroke. But Tilly, being older and more feeble, couldn't reach that Far! Best continuing contribution: No doubt about this one either. AlanHo's Thought for the day. He keeps a high standard and is always good for a cheery start to the day. Best serious debate: Difficult to pick out because most deteriorated into anti Bush/Blair rhetoric. It is fair to guess that no-one's minds were changed because of what was written. Most helpful post: I personally found Pat's contributions on microsoft support to be helpful but I must give the award to pops for his knowledge and experience on back-up. Best moderator: Hard to tell but artist threw herself into things and acted as stern headmistress when she felt it was needed. Best technical help: I was left in awe at the knowledge displayed by the technicians. It was especially leasing how the help was delivered in language easily understood. For my part I was never made to feel small because I asked a trivial question. Highlight of the year: Absolutely tops was the award by Microsoft to nellie2 of MVP. To have a Most Valued Professional on the team is a great honour. She is a huge credit to this forum and is MY PERSON OF THE YEAR.HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALLThos.
