Word of Warning

I just put some fish under the grill, and didn't realise there were some left-over chips at the back of the tray.

The chips caught fire with the aid of the fat from the fish, and as I opened the door to the oven all I could see were flames.

Immediately called the fire brigade and got everyone in the area out. I was panicking and worried sick. It's not even my flat - it's my father's! He is away in leicester!

Thankfully, it was all fine, and the (electrical) oven even survived. I, though, have nothing to eat now :(

So a word of warning - be careful while cooking!! And always plan a way out if there is a fire. Check you are not overloading your plugs, and just generally be aware!

I'm glad you are ok Matt... I set my grill on fire the other week, but I just carried it outside and put a damp teatowel over it! No problem.

I feel a sense of urgency to remove your admin privileges :D
