There are plenty of other tunes that are meant to be played in that fashion, where he could show off his undoubted talent. I just don't like to see beautiful music treated in this way, even though the playing was excellent. You and many others probably did not like what was done to Queens music in the Queen Symphony. I have no objection to a sympathetic arrangement of any music in keeping with the original intentions of the composer. Canon was composed as a quiet and beautiful meditative piece of music. I have also heard a modern arrangement of it for voices. It was treated in a respectful manner and stuck to the original format. No problem there. Alan2273 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Share Posted March 5, 2006 Andsome, as I play the classical guitar, (and I also have an electric guitar) I have to disagree with you.That performance was breathtaking.I have played that piece of music and sometimes jazzed it up a bit myself, although not to that degree.Sometimes it is an eye opener to here a different interperatation on a piece of music.That lad certainly has a bright future ahead of him. I just do not like noisy bang bang, and thudding type pop, and general yelling and shouting. I hate pop groups in general, especially female. What types of music do you like?
