A little known fact.

Spiders have their ears in their legs.

I know this sounds odd but my uncle proved it.

He got a fairly big spider and trained it, over a course of several months, to obey his commands. He did this in the usual way, by rewarding it when it did what he wanted and just ignored it if it did not do as he said.

He could tell it to GO FORWARDS, REVERSE, GO LEFT, GO RIGHT etc.

Once he had got it fully trained he pulled off all its legs and then found that it could not hear him!!!.

Just before seeing this a great big huge hairy legged spider appeared in our lounge. I had to wait with my feet off the floor while 'Er indoors got rid of it. They give me the shudders.

I follow maxim " if you wish to live and thrive let the Spider stay alive." so I put them in the garden where they belong.

..and they walk straight back in!

I can feel a spider's eyes on me from across the room! I can't bear to get too close so they get hoovered.

:shok:

Don't bother me but 'Er indoors' is terrified of them.

And me.

Good joke, catgate, to start this thread.

We have those little jumpimg spiders. They are harmless but hard to trap with our favourite method of putting a tumbler over them and carting them out to throw over the fence into next door.

Incidentally, we keep a special spider tumbler for the purpose. Sometimes when someone calls who votes Tory we "accidentally" serve them a drink in the wrong glass! :P
