korgg
Try HereLoads of bargains. Sharm el Sheikh looks good.Egypt ! Far as I know ! :) Go to some islands ! Much less headaches ! But there's always Hungary, or even better, Bucharest :D Here you get beaten if you have the unfortunate luck of being around a staduim where two rival football teams had their match. The police definetly knows how to take care of your bones. Anyway, have a nice vacation !!

dagwoood
I was looking at Tunisia, but the locals are putting me off a bit.Had a relative go there and while he was walking around a market, he put his hand in his pocket only to find someone's hand in there already Needless to say the pickpocket legged it.They said the hotel complexes are great, but as soon as you leave them you're surrounded by beggars/people trying to sell you stuff; the levels of poverty can also be disturbing. doug
Experienced that in Tunisia as well. This chap was trying to sell me this head scarf thingy - the one with bard wire printed on it. He stood beside me and passed this scarf thing round my head and shoulders. I felt his hand go into my top pocket. Now that's where I keep my pipe tobacco, needless to say I gave voice " If you don't take your Bl**dy hand out my my pocket I'll cut it off". With that he took off lime the proverbiable. An elderly gentleman wandered over to me and said that if the chap was caught his hand would be cut off as a matter of routine! Gandalph
Keep away from Tunisia Craig. I've never been myself but my Sister and brother-in Law have been and so have a few other people I know and they have all said they would never go back. Worst holiday they have ever had because of the local people.
andsome
Just been looking at Gran Canaria.Looks good, nice and warm still.Seems to be a large variety of accommodation and locations to stay.Any recommendations on accommodation?I have only been once a long time ago. It is a lovely island, and if you don't mind heights a trip through the volcanic mountains in the interior is well worth while. Regarding accommodation, I would ask the travel agent. The main resorts are very noisy and busy, and you may prefer somewhere quieter. The north is the quietest part, but also the coolest and cloudiest. Besty
Cyprus? Went there a few years back was one of the best holidays I have ever had. Go to gran canaria also it really is one of my favourite destinations. Puerto Rico i think it is spelt is where we stayed and it has alot of nitelife venues and bars etc. We have stayed in the El Greco and the Puerto Azul and both I could quite honestly say were dead on. Drink is cheap and plentiful and everyone there is dead on. There isnt much trouble at it nd its relaxin during the day and comes alive at night.Hope this helps.
