doug
Haloo all. Managed to finish but not that good a time - 2 hours 19 mins and 45 secs compared with 2 hours 10 mins during my training runs over the 13.1 miles distance. That's got to be the crowd effect also started to flag a bit passing the 10 mile mark. We were very much delayed starting will have to watch the recording to find out why. Was delayed getting through this morning - must have been an accident on the motorway so I started in the 3rd orange block on the left just north of the footbridge. Oh by the way doug did get it wrong for the weather, only slight spits of rain half way. Quite warm otherwise, mind driving back home on the 194M it threw it down - just my luck I thought.May check back in later after I've had a shower and kip - old age you see - all the family coming over for dinner at 6 pm. Gandalph
Well done Doug. Another valiant effort. Just put the extra nine minutes down to being held up by the slower runners in front of you that had to be negotiated before you could really get going. :D

Rebel=UK=
I Seen him this year, i Shouted at him at the top of my voice but he never heard me :( i managed to get 2 pics tho before he flew past me. Not great pics as i couldnt get very close due to the massive crowds. I waited 30 mins to see if i could see him at the bit where you get your bag & sliver tin foil coat thing but couldnt see him it was like looking for a needle in a hay stack.(Bigger & Slightly better quality available)

doug
>Besty & Rebel thats the way as time goes on you can only get slower and have fewer years to do it. Just found my finishing position as 22058. Haven't found out how many started or finished yet. In the 15 min slot before my 15 min finishing slot, 8920 crossed the finishing line in my slot 7597 finished. The website has crashed out at 28332 finishers. doug
Looking like the £4k mark. People's generosity is absolutely amazing. It was a lot of legwork this year 589 people have agreed to sponsor me, that's 118 sponsors and £718 up from last year. All I've got to do now is to catch people in! Will take much longer this year as we are off to Singapore on Wednesday and there wont be much daylight in the evenings when I get back. I don't like calling on the elderly at night or the single mums. Forgot this year to mark my sponsorship forms to remind me - you don't count andsome.
