Osteoporosis

My doctor reckons that in my bid to lower chloresterol, I have cut back on dairy products too much. This is not good at my age because of osteoporosis risks.

To overcome the problem I am now having a good slug of Baileys Irish Cream in each of the several cups of coffee I drink each day.

Try it - you know it makes sense - and you're worth it..... ;)

Does anyone know if Bill did eventually go home?

He went off looking for Glen Miller and to everyones surprise, was recently successful.

So much so the old chap is making a come-back and the Glen Miller band are performing at Birmingham Symphony Hall first week in January - I have 4 tickets and am looking forwards to seeing how the old chap looks and performs. I expect Bill will introduce him.

The following week we are off to see River Dance, hopefully with Michael Flately back to full health. I wonder if Glen and Bill will stay on to see the show.

I don't think he did. I heard Ella putting out another plea on the radio a couple of days ago. :D

Elephant Gerald was fab singist.

Remember when Edwina Curry came out with the salmonella scare in eggs, well Sammy Davis Jnr and Ella Fitzgerald heard about it and when Edwina was forced to resign they sent her a telegram which read 'All the best for the future' signed, Sam n Ella. :D

Another singist who I really liked was Maxine Sullivan. Out of the same mould as Ella (well vocally and ethnically) but she gave it all up as quite a young woman and went nursing professionally. I saw a programme about he a few years ago and she was still doing a bit of singing, for amusement, and she sounded almost as good as she did in the 40s.
