But the Router does the first bit, NOD32 runs all the time!Adaware and S&D gets to scan once and a while.But yeah common sense is the main one. I also believe a major key is knowing how to find help. You don't have to be smart or really know much about computers if you know how to find answers to your problems. Its weird in firefox it doesn't display anything but in IE I get a little red X error. Thats why I originally posted about it because I though it should of displayed an error but I didn't see one in FF. Thanks for saying about it. The site hosting it is http://davatar.net. I also run a variety of other programs when I do weekly maintenance including Spybot, a-squared and ccleaner.I think I have a handle on spyware, trojans and virus's but how do these programs help against a hacker getting into your computer? It's like when you have 5 programs running for spy ware, at what point does it get overboard to where you choose not to do the things that are causing you to get the crap or to set up a computer that you only use for the bad sites? Any Anti Malware program is only as good as its latest updated definitions, and even five minutes out of date can be too much. Also, what one will not find another may, so better to use more than one. Some do appear to go OTT, I will agree, but better safe than sorry, you would be surprised at how many people come on here seeking help with their computers riddled with adware.
