Irene
Heh ...seen Irenes post yesterday .....so ..... took my camera out with me today when getting my fruit and veggies , Walthamstow market is about 4 min walk from my house .... everything including the kitchen sink ...arf Late afternoon is a good time to go as you can get halfbuckets of fruit for “only a phaund guv...!”Nice to see that Staffordshire 'figures' in 'The Smoke', even though you seem to indicate that there is not a mass of interest. :( (makes you wonder of they realise what they are missing?)We have a loft, in which there is lots of Staffordshire pottery. Mostly as a result of elder members of the family 'passing on'.One day we'll dig it out and have either a garage or an eBay sale!!

Irene
So, what is it like where you are today? It's absolutely pouring with rain here!! Has been most of the day. What a Bank Holiday weekend Sunday. :(We went to one of the Antiques Road Show venues, which was being held locally. It will be screened on TV later this year or early next. Unfortunately for them, the weather was 'gross'. It was meant to have been held outside beside the canal, which historically served the local pottery and coal industry.Still it was very interesting to see live, that which we often watch on television. I did take one or two things along, but there were no big suprises as to their value. But a useful exercise to establish a few facts here and there. The Experts, Presenters and film crew looked frozen! What a way to earn a living.
