How do I build my own computer?

Hello!

Need some more help!

1. Where do all the cables go? From the psu (T.P.3 Trio Antec True Power 3 Trio PSU)? And from the case (Antec P182) (fans)? Images please!

2. I picked up my DVD burner, and something rattled inside, is this bad? Should I return it to the shop?

3. I can't seem to figure out how to get my harddrive into the case. The bmanual said something about using the screws provided, but I can't seem to figure it out!

Thanks in advance,

Panarchy

PS: Please reply

Panarchy, STOP what you are doing and calm down.

You have been given sufficient information and literature suggestions (and have product manuals) to be able to complete your build without problem. It is clear that you are ignoring all the advice and, as I expected, you are pushing ahead regardless without any idea of what you are doing. OK, the building process itself may be akin to building flat pack furniture, but it is absolutely vital that you understand what you are doing - which is the reason for the literature that you have and has been suggested that you read. It is clear that you have not.

Please, please take a few steps back. Read up on what you are doing - or, as they say RTFM, and then approach your build in a more logical way.

On your second point, optical drives should not rattle - take it back.

This has taken over practically the whole forum. Well said pops. :D I have been saying ever since this saga began, that he has constantly asked for advice, totally ignored it and then done his own thing. All the good folk who have given advice have wasted their time.

They shouldn't? That's what I though. I will take it back, tomorrow.

Thanks,

Panarchy

PS: What does RTFM mean?

This is almost as good as my 2 Prawns Saga - but at least that had an ending!

Your's amused us all in the process and had a happy ending though.

I don't remember the ending now. Refresh my memory. :D :D

My life was totally changed from the moment I became a Prawn again Christian!”

This thread would have died a death long ago if us muggins didn't keep it going by posting responses. I am as guilty as the rest - on reflection it would have been better just to ignore it.

I reckon Panarchy is a wind up merchant - he probably knows what he is doing, certainly doesn't need help in that regard and is just cranking things up out of sadistic pleasure.

Over and out.

Panarchy.........we welcome you here. Some words of advice........

Please respect the fact that when you ask for advice folks do not expect you to take the exact opposite.

You should also consider how you post and the number of (repetitive) posts you tend to make in a thread.

Lastely, learn to respect the members here and the years of advice they offer...........they do so only to try to help you.

We always welcome new members, young and old (like andsome). Please accept the advice I offer.

Good luck on your new computer. :flowers:

I must thank Panarchy for the link to the neowin site. I didn't know it existed and it seems to be a very tech savvie forum.

I am thinking of building a computer myself and will find all the advice and information provided to panarchy - both here and on the other forum - very valuable.

His thread there asking how to build a computer is very interesting.........

It's Here

It's getting to be a similar saga to all the threads on here. They will soon get fed up. :D :D
