deuces wild Posted January 7, 2008 Report Share Posted January 7, 2008 I don't need a program to determine my choice.I do know that Barack will win the Democratic nomination........Hillarity is already getting ready to throw in the towel.Although Huckabee may or may not earn the Republican nomination I also know that the press is trying to sway things by making a big deal of his religious beliefs and lumping them into what they call the beliefs of Evangelicals...whoever they are. Entering religion into a political race is never a good thing.The folks in the US are already tired of this..............we will not be voting till this coming November and the campaign crap started almost over a year ago.Folks in the US also want to distance themselves from the same old same old and those carrying the baggage of a long political history on either side of the fence are toast. -pops- Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 Interesting that the people in the US are already tired of this electioneering - how do you think the UK population feel having it rammed at them in large quantity in every news bulletin.Does the US media show an interest in UK politics? I doubt it. It isn't even possible to get the UK residents themselves to vote in large numbers so why a country several thousand miles away (in either direction) should be interested, I fail to comprehend yet, the UK media have a number of high profile (and highly paid) reporters out there watching for every time any of them takes a breath or picks their nose. What bothers me about US politics is the huge amount of money thrown at campaigns. With a President of The National Rifle Association like Charlton Heston saying' They can take my gun out of my dead hand' I don't think it's likely to make much ground any faster. It is not owning a gun or a knife or a car that is dangerous. It is using them for the wrong purpose. The law is an ass again, in that it does not punish offenders effectively.I carry a knife I would be lost without it, I have done since I was about twelve. It's not still the same one. There are no strong Republican front runners at this point........Super Tuesday (22 States having primary elections on the same date) next month will clear things up.On the Dem side it is now a horse race between Hillarity and Obama.
