Strange that; quite the reverse in my case. I used to be carefree and self-supporting  Now I have to think for two

Same here! You think that when the kids leave home you won't need to know the exact location of everything, then you realise the main problem is still at home.........

Come on now Artist - play fair - you can't blame the chap when all he sees is you standing there blowing bubbles all day.

How very true artist. Perhaps our husbands attended the same school of non-domesticity or even the College of Actnumbship ?

I do the food shopping and the cooking. If I see that there is laundry to do I will put it into the washing machine. I usually hang the washing out for her because of the arthritis in her fingers. I'll have you know that I'm a paragon of virtue. :D

Now then - if you were truly a kind and caring chap like me with a tender and sensitive nature - you would know that doing chores "for her" is red rag to a bull territory. The correct term is "for us". It's not just her washing, her ironing, her washing up, her dusting, or her whatever - it is more properly and more kindly expressed as "our".

So - say after me - I usually hang the washing out for us because the love of my life has arthritis in her fingers......

I guess Pushkin, Artist and Irene will be along soon to put you right..... :yahoo:

I hang it out whether I have done it or she has done it, because it hurts her fingers to do so. :D
