artist Posted November 30, 2008 Report Share Posted November 30, 2008 Secunia tells me I need version 8.1.3.I tried to intstall it and got 'Error 1316A' I thought I'd uninstall the older version first and got the same error.I have updated before so can't really see that it's anything to do with the original install with Office 2002. There's a free and a paid version. The free version is adequate for my needs and it even has a simple editor enabling me to make comments on other people's texts without having to fork out several hundred US dollars for the Adobe Editor. It downloaded ok but wouldn't install.It was v8.1.2 before.I've probably done this the wrong way round but I downloaded the M/S cleanup and have now got rid of it. I didn't read your post properly....Oh dear!there are lots of files for the reader in the programme files folder - should I delete them before downloading the new one?I'll try to install 8.1.3 from the Adobe site and see what happens. I've looked for this for ages but never been able to find it.Anyway, yes, Adobe PDF Support.If you right click on the message then click on Properties you should find the originating address.
