artist
Bit of a shock to the system though - Happened tp me once. Still, I got a car with the payoff.I was lucky enough to find a decent job quite quickly - after doing a Christmas job with Boots.......... Watchful
All the best Tankus for the new year. I was made redundant three times when I was working but managed to find alternative work after re-training. One of our family members has also been made redundant at Christmas and I fear there will be many more to follow. :(

andsome
In all the gloom we have just received a bit of good news for a change. My son was running his own one man company and working as a consultant for whoever hired him at the time. He was making £2200 per week, so accumulated quite a pile. He packed it in three years ago to take another university degree. He then started a year ago with his girl friend to build his own house, acting as labourer to her brothers two friend who were doing the main work. The idea being that he would look for employment while the work was going on. Just as the money has almost run out with the build well advanced, after trying for twelve months, he got a job yesterday, with a small firm designing software for the railways. He had started to get quite despondent. :D
